A man without fear, is a man I strive to be.

If you read fairy tales carefully, you’ll notice they are mostly about people who aren’t heroes. They don’t have special powers, or gifts. Often they are despised as stupid, They are bullied, beaten up, robbed, starved. But they find they are stronger than their misfortunes.

The fact is, when people choose to be brave instead of smart, their courage is generally so threatening to those who are smart rather than brave that they end up being maligned, not congratulated. This is what the Bible says we can expect.

Faith is rare because fear is rampant. For faith will demand that I step into places that fear itself fears to go.

Why not is a slogan for an interesting life.

It takes courage to do aid work but it takes bravery to put your thoughts and experiences out in front of the world.

Cowardice is when you hide away from your real self, and wear another self in pretense. Be yourself; that is bravery. If yourself is not better for you to be, change yourself and live in that changed self!

When you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear.

Bravery is a willing decision to do what must be done. Fear is a cancer that is cured only by doing what must be done, backed by an intelligent, open mind.

I have realized that part of being Dauntless is being willing to make things more difficult for yourself in order to be self-sufficient.
