That's the problem with lying. You can never remember what you've said.
Jane Green
I love lying here with you, under the books.
Cath Crowley
The city was asleep, and the bookshop felt like a boat adrift in a sea of silence and shadows.
Carlos Ruiz Zafón
Bookshop and libraries are great celestial places to be.
Lailah Gifty Akita
You are more likely to find three TVs inside a randomly selected house than you are to find a single book that is or was not read to pass an exam, to please God, or to be a better cook.
Mokokoma Mokhonoana
The bookshop felt damp and chilly, but it was still and unsupervised bookshop, and Anna felt a frisson of excitement as she scanned the shelves with greedy eyes. Libraries weren't quite the same, she'd found; something about the prosaic smell of other people's houses and fingers seeping off the pages diluted that sense of magical worlds, but untouched, unread, unexplored books were something else.
Lucy Dillon
Nothing belongs to itself anymore. These trees are yours because you once looked at them. These streets are yours because you once traversed them. These coffee shops and bookshops, these cafés and bars, their sole owner is you. They gave themselves so willingly, surrendering to your perfume. You sang with the birds and they stopped to listen to you. You smiled at the sheepish stars and they fell into your hair. The sun and moon, the sea and mountain, they have all left from heartbreak. Nothing belongs to itself anymore. You once spoke to Him, and then God became yours. He sits with us in darkness now to plot how to make you ours.” K.K.
Kamand Kojouri
If you want to talk about it with someone, then I`m happy to listen, or try and help, but you should only tell me if you want to.
Jane Green
My books, my paradise!
Lailah Gifty Akita
Forever feels a long time when you're eighteen. When you're away from home for the first time in your life, when you forge instant friendships that are so strong they are destined, surely, to be with you until the bitter end.
Jane Green
A good bookshop is just a genteel Black Hole that knows how to read.
Terry Pratchett
I am not a people pleaser. I am not a person who says things because she thinks it will make the other person happy, nor am I a person who offers things she cannot deliver because I want the other person to like me.
Jane Green
How can a man know how to live rightly on the face of earth? By daily reading and meditation on the Holy Scriptures and obedience to what is written.
Lailah Gifty Akita
Books and bookcases cropping up in stuff that I've written means that they have to be reproduced on stage or on film. This isn't as straightforward as it might seem. A designer will either present you with shelves lined with gilt-tooled library sets, the sort of clubland books one can rent by the yard as decor, or he or she will send out for some junk books from the nearest second-hand bookshop and think that those will do. Another short cut is to order in a cargo of remaindered books so that you end up with a shelf so garish and lacking of character it bears about as much of a relationship to literature as a caravan site does to architecture. A bookshelf is as particular to its owner as are his or her clothes; a personality is stamped on a library just as a shoe is shaped to the foot.
Alan Bennett
You must work to live, not live to work.
Jane Green
Words cannot do justice to the pleasures of a good bookshop. Ironically.(Waterstones Trafalgar Square)
Waterstones
We find paradise in every library and bookshop.
Lailah Gifty Akita
Living in a bookshop is like living in a warehouse of explosives. Those shelves are ranked with the most furious combustibles in the world--the brains of men.
Christopher Morley
I'm the same way about the bookshop. You know, I walk around and I feel the whole world is in there, the most important stories of all time.
Caroline Kepnes
